1. Why all my Upload tasks are failing?

Upload can fail if the proper scanner settings are not followed because of which the image size would be huge and if there is no continuous band width available to upload them.

2. Is there a restriction on number of documents that can be uploaded in a single batch?
There are no restriction such restrictions. But It is better not to uploadmore than 5-6 proposals or 10 policy requests per batch because if there are more number of images, then upload would take more time to complete and in case the network connection is lost in between, then the whole set of documents will need to be uploaded once again.

3. How do I know the status of the batches that I have scanned in DataCap?
The status of the batches can be checked in DataCap Job monitor screen. Please refer the document attached below for more details.

4. For scanning, what should be the order of document types for Proposal/policy requests?
The order of pages is mentioned in the scan page of DataCap application.

5. Why are batches that I have scanned getting aborted in export task?
Batches will get aborted if the batch preparation is wrong. Please check if the batch is prepared in the proper sequence as mentioned in the scan page of DataCap application.

If the batch preparation was proper, please raise a ticket to FSI Help Desk with batch id and operator name.

6. I am unable to access DataCap URL. What should I do?· Please check for the network connectivity in your office

  • Please contact network team if any issue persists
  • Please check if other applications like McCamish and FileNet are accessible
  • if network is fine then please raise a ticket with FSI Help Desk


7. V-Scan is not happening properly. What could be the reason?
  • Check whether all the browser settings are applied properly. For details , please check the rollout document
  • Allow active X controls as suggested in roll out document
  • If still issue persists please raise a ticket with FSI Help Desk 

8. We were able to do the Page Identification, but they are not available for verification.
When the status of such batches were checked by logging in as administrator, the status was seen as "Extraction-running”

  • If the status is extraction – running for long time, SYSTEM ADMINcan change the status to pending. 
  • If the status is page ID – running for long time, SYSTEM ADMIN can change the status to pending. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE OPERATOR AND STATION values.

A proposal on grant TA and transit to officials who are transferred on completion of tenure to the place of their choice was under consideration in this Directorate for sometime past.      SR-114 governs TA on transfer distinguishes between transfer for public convenience and transfer on own request.  Although transfer on completion of tenure in one office has not been specifically referred to in this rule, yet the transfer on completion of tenure is a transfer for public convenience.  On completion of tenure, the official has to be transferred out for operational reasons.  Therefore, such a transfer is mandatory, while posting to a place of choice is secondary and subject to public convenience.  In view of this posting to a place of choice after completion of full tenure may not be normally termed as a "transfer on own request" under SR-114.      It
